Antigua Renamed its Highest Point 'Mount Obama' in 2009
Formerly known as Boggy Peak, the highest point on the island (402 meters or 1,319 feet) was renamed in honor of former US President Barack Obama on his 48th birthday. This gesture celebrated his historic election.
